Synopsis

Shot on location in historic Mount Auburn Cemetery it contains gratuitous shots of howling tortured youth, men hauling garbage, voice-over beat poetry and a clock tower – making it the quintessential film-student performance piece.

Background

We wanted to make the ultimate pretentious art student film.

Based on a phrase in a short story by David Sedaris, Jason Wishnow and I made this film in November 2000 during the inaugural Digital Cinema Conference at MIT.

While filming in this historic cemetery - which involved climbing on the markers and standing on the graves - we got no weird looks. Apparently filming these sorts of films there is a common occurrence.
